Wujiang campus

State-of-the-art manufacturing

Opple owns three fully vertically integrated production facilities using energy-efficient manufacturing techniques to minimize waste and energy consumption. Large investments have been made, for example, on the main Wujiang campus in China, where Opple has installed 80.000m2 of PV-panels, delivering more than 11 MW of renewable energy to the factory. This results in a reduction of 8,749 tons in CO2 emissions, equivalent to planting 480,000 trees annually. A ground source heat pump with heating/cooling capacity of circa 5.2MW is another key investment to make our manufacturing sites as sustainable as modern technology allows.

Top-Tier Distribution partners with emission-free last mile transportation

We are working in strategic partnership with top distribution partners to ensure that our products are transported with the lowest possible carbon footprint, leveraging eco-friendly logistics solutions. Through our partners, our logistics operations aim to be carbon neutral by 2040. Next to that we offer Tailored project deliveries to our customers minimizing packaging waste and reducing CO2.

Key Partnerships with local recycling organisation and take-back systems

Opple actively collaborates with recycling agencies in its operational countries (i.e. WEEE) to ensure that all components are properly processed at the end of life. This life cycle approach underpins our dedication to minimizing environmental footprint and contributing to the principles of a circular economy.

Full Lifecycle Assessments in progress

We are actively engaged in the implementation of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and resulting verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). These assessments provide valuable insights into the environmental impacts of our products and processes. This will guide us in making even better informed decisions that prioritize sustainability and efficiency.
